He Poured Honey Over Bare Bodies The Result Is Breathtaking
In an aberrant new collection of photographs suitably christened “Preservation,” esteemed Los Angeles-based photographer Blake Little has captured on film much more than just an endlessly sticky mess. Little has photographed an array of models, both male and female, completely nude in various positions, and, of course, nearly drowning in honey. This produced a wildly peculiar-looking effect — much like a statuesque, gilded mirage — resulting in an almost haunting compilation of images that serves as a study in fluidity and the ebbing of mankind, both literally and figuratively. Although many people couldn’t be paid a thousand dollars to take a bath in this liquid gold, anyone can take a moment to observe in awe and appreciate this visionary work.
