One of the Strongest Men in the World is also a VEGAN!

When you see a person who is a bodybuilder, incredibly strong and healthy, one of your first thoughts may be, “How much protein does this guy eat?” and picture him with rare steaks, a dozen eggs, you know, popular conceptions of how muscular men need to eat.

Patrick Baboumian

This incredibly healthy and built man eats a lot of protein, and it’s all plant-based. Yes, plants. His name is Patrick Baboumian, and he is Germany’s strongest man, able to lift over 1200 pounds. On a plant-based diet. He believes a vegan diet to be an ethical consideration because the way we treat animals being raised as food is horrible. How it affects our planet to raise meat as food is destroying our world.

Baboumian proudly sports a T-shirt that says Vegan Badass, and watching him exercise is a strong argument for anyone who says they need to eat meat to be strong and healthy, this man is a picture of good health and optimism, he has an infectious smile, and feels a responsibility to the planet. What a guy!

Rather than not getting enough healthy food and protein, he had to cut down on his vegetables and nuts, because he was getting more than what he needed to remain healthy.

If you are interested in a vegan diet, but worried about a drastic change, try doing it one or two days a week to start, you may have heard of Meatless Mondays? Try it, for a month. Try vegetarian first if you prefer, still eating eggs, milk, and cheese, gradually increase the days you do it, and decrease foods you eat; your body, wallet, and the environment will thank you.
