She lives in Leeds, England, and was very much in love with her boyfriend, Wayne Hoban. Their relationship was like any other, they had their ups and downs. Hoban came home from work in a particularly grumpy mood that day. He was tired and wanted to be !ntimate with Littlewood. She kept turning down his requests, and this made him become angry and aggressive. He threw her onto the bed several times begging for a romantic interlude, but a few time she refused lovemaking. Finally, he left the room, and she thought she was safe. She hid under a quilt shaken by the events and trying to compose herself.

No doubt his urges were out of control when he came in a short time later. He ripped the quilt off of her, and he threw it on the floor. He grabbed her by her ankle, and he removed her from the bed, throwing her small framed body also into the floor. As she laid on the floor, he sat on top of her. Gasping for air, he punched her 40-50 times in the face, specifically the left side.

The thrusts from his first were so powerful that is broke her jaw and busted three teeth out of her mouth. Another front tooth was busted but remained attached. The beating went on for what seemed like forever. Finally, her body went limp and unconscious and she had passed out. Reports state that even though she was unconscious, he continued to beat her body.

She was rushed to the hospital, barely hanging on to life. She was rushed in and given a CT scan where it was determined that she had a brain bleed from the blunt force trauma. They also feared that the impact left her with permanent brain damage. It was a long and rocky road, but Littlewood did recover. She has gone through massive reconstructive surgery, to repair the damages caused by a beating, during a hostile rage. Though her appearance has improved, she is still waiting on her teeth to be fixed.

On September 24, 2016, Stephanie appeared in court against Wayne Hoban. She testified against the father of her child, and the man she loved. She told the court exactly what he had done to her. The court sentenced him to 16 months in prison for assault, though some say the courts should have given him a life sentence for attempted murder. Though she felt vindicated, she is still suffering from the emotional abuse of everything that happened. It will take months, if not years, to get over the trauma’s effects on her life.

One method of therapy for the young girl was to put her story on Facebook. Complete with pictures and all, people can see how horrible mental illness can be. It is a miracle she is still alive and able to tell others. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help her pay for the costs of all the reconstructive procedures. Though there is some assistance with the free public health care system, it is not enough to cover all of her elective surgical costs. It brings her great relief that he is behind bars, but now she must pick up the pieces of her life and begin again.
